Explain the rules of Mathematical Hockey
  1. MC Diaries - Chap 11 Problem Set - 1: Several inhabitants of the knights and liars island are spending an evening at the beach. At various points during a conversation, each person says to all others, "You are all liars!". How many knights are there at the beach?
  2. MC Diaries - Chap 12 Problem 1: A boy and girl are sitting next to each other. "I am a boy!" - says the dark haired child. "I am a girl!", says the red haired child. Find out the color of boy's and girl's hair if it is known that at least one child is not telling the truth. 
  3. MC Diaries - Chap 12 Problem 2: Cut an equilateral triangle into three identical triangles
  4. MC Diaries - Chap 12 Problem 3: Four matchsticks are used to create a martini glass, which has a cherry inside it. Move one matchstick to move the cherry outside the Martini glass
  5. MC Diaries - Chap 12 Problem 4: Four coins are placed in a row. It is known that at least one coin is real and at least one coin in counterfeit. A counterfeit coin is 1 gm lighter than a real one. All counterfeit coins are placed to the left of all real coins. Using  a balance scale with two pans, find all the counterfeit coins in one weighing
  6. MC Diaries - Chap 12 Problem 5: Three brothers received following inheritance: 7 full chests of gold, 7 half chests of gold, and 7 empty chests. Can they divide this inheritance so that each brother gets same amount of gold and same number of chests? Transferring gold from one chest to another is not allowed 
  7. MC Diaries - Chap 12 Problem 7: There are white, gray and spotted rabbits on an island. Grey mothers reproduce a white and grey rabbit. Spotted mothers do the same. However, a white rabbit reproduces a grey, a white and a spotted bunny. The first and only rabbit to reach the island was a rabbit called Great Mother through whom all rabbits descended. Currently 40 grey, 40 white and 30 spotted rabbits live on the island. If no rabbit ever died or left the island, what color is Great Mother?
  8. MC Diaries - Chap 12 Additional Problem 2 - How can you fetch exactly 6 liters of water from the well if all yo have are two buckets - 4-liter and 9-liter ones?
  9. MC Diaries - Chap 12 Additional Problem 3 - Place 15 integers in a circle so that sum of any two adjacent ones is odd
  10. MC Diaries - Chap 12 Additional Problem 4 - Mom and toddlers, 36 in all, took part in a cycle race. Moms rode two-wheeled cycles and toddlers 4 wheeled ones. There were total of 110 wheels. How many toddlers took part in the cycle race?
  11. MC Diaries - Chap 12 Additional Problem 9 - A necklace has 34 beads. It is known that any two beads located exactly two beads apart are of the same color. What is the maximum number of colors in the necklace?
